One-on-One Therapy

One-on-one therapy at PEIRSAC is structured to support meaningful trauma healing, with clear goals and supportive guidance from a trained clinician. This approach helps survivors move through trauma processing while also strengthening the skills and stability needed for long-term well-being.

A cozy indoor space with a deep pink velvet sofa and floral pillow. Behind the sofa, a wall with blue paint, decorated with a colorful poster that reads 'Be Kind to Your Mind.' The space features several potted plants, a wicker shelving unit, and a table holding various stationery supplies. A warm, woven pendant light hangs from the ceiling, illuminating the corner.

PEIRSAC’s individual therapy at a glance:

During therapy, survivors may:

  • Process trauma experiences using different therapeutic approaches

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and coping strategies

  • Rebuild trust, autonomy, and connection

  • Develop tools that support long-term well-being

Individual therapy is one important part of healing, but healing does not happen only in the therapy room. Many survivors also benefit from group programs, community connections, and time to integrate their work.

For this reason, individual therapy at PEIRSAC may be followed by a planned therapeutic pause or participation in community-based healing groups that support ongoing recovery.
